Job Description Marketing Executive, Global's Make Some Noise Job description This is an exciting opportunity to join the buzz and creativity at Global's Make Some Noise, working alongside inspiring teams that together keep 25.2 million listeners entertained each week. We're a charity that brings together some of the UK's best-loved radio brands to raise money for a great cause. The Marketing Executive is responsible for creating and executing work across the charity's channels and content for Global's high-profile brand platforms, helping to maximise income generation, deliver key messages and drive the Make Some Noise brand forward. Who we are We're a national charity that funds and empowers projects helping disadvantaged children, young people and their families. As the official charity of Global, the media and entertainment group, we use Global's radio brands - including Heart, Capital, Radio X, Classic FM, LBC, Smooth, Capital XTRA and Gold - to give a voice to small charities across the UK that don't get heard and raise money for the families they support. Since our first appeal in 2014, we've helped to transform the lives of more than 56,000 children and young people and thousands more family members. What you'll be doing * You'll be creating engaging content for our platforms including social, website and CRM, and will be responsible for proofing copy for community fundraising, regional marketing and corporate partner activities. * You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running and scheduling of social media activity and website content as well as exploring ways to grow our audience. * You'll keep up with social media trends and tools to create impactful activations and find new and exciting ways of telling our story and engaging with our audiences. * You'll be the main point of contact for the charity's social media accounts and will liaise with digital teams across Global to engage them with our work. * You'll report regularly on our digital performance and use insights to inform content creation. * You'll develop and execute the campaign communications plan, ensuring that it is kept up-to-date and relevant. * You'll support the charity's Campaigns, Partnerships and Grants teams on a range of marketing activity. This could span our community, schools and challenge campaigns, through to projects with the brands and will stem across multiple platforms. * You'll be writing detailed briefs for our in-house design teams and provide creative direction to develop a range of marketing content, from community fundraising packs and posters, to social graphics, microsites and videos. * You'll be tasked with creating assets using Photoshop to support activity. * You'll write detailed briefs for our in-house design teams and provide creative direction to develop a range of marketing content, from community fundraising packs and posters, to social graphics, microsites and videos.You'll provide marketing support on fundraising projects and brand-led campaigns, particularly during our main appeal period in October, ensuring projects stay on track and drive fundraising income with a return on investment. * You'll take a lead role in engaging and inspiring our internal audience, from writing copy for emails and intranet articles, to developing the branding for Make Some Noise Day. * You'll act as a brand guardian, ensuring all internal and external stakeholders have the resources and support they need to meet branding guidelines. * You'll support the Marketing Manager in suggesting and developing digital, social and marketing initiatives for the charity. For example, this could be anything from promoting branded merchandise to shaping celebrity engagement. You may also be asked to pick up ad-hoc projects, communication and event management tasks as and when required. You'll have the following skills and experiences * You'll have relevant experience in a digital, marketing or communications role for at least 2 years. * You'll have an excellent grasp of social and digital platforms and experience of using these to engage audiences, amplify support and further a brand. * You'll live online; understanding social and online culture and trends and have the ability to explore them with a Make Some Noise focus. * You'll be experienced in writing content for a variety of media, with a brilliant style that can range from punchy to emotive, to suit different audiences and activations. * You'll have strong attention to detail in order to proofread copy and ensure design assets are on-brand and correctly represented. * You'll be brilliant at planning and highly organized, with demonstrable experience of working under pressure, often to tight deadlines. * You'll have a good understanding of the charity's audiences, and support the Marketing Manager in finding new ways to communicate with them. * You'll have experience in the use of social media, Adobe Photoshop, website content management platforms, e.g. WordPress, CRM platforms and analytics software. * You'll be a creative, innovative thinker with a strikingly positive and can-do attitude. * You'll have a desire and hunger for continuous learning of best marketing practice. * Previous charity experience in a marketing or digital role is an advantage.
