Purpose:


We are looking for a Call Handler/Receptionist to join our busy Call Handling and Reception Team, working a 35 hour week on a rotational basis, between the hours of 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday, on a 6 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave, which may be extended subject to business needs.


Duties/Responsibilities:


Our busy Core Reception team is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and diligent individual to join the team. The role predominantly switchboard related where you will be greeting callers in a professional and friendly manner quickly ascertaining the correct details of the call and transferring the caller to the correct recipient, usually a case handler. The successful candidate will also be covering reception on a regular basis where you will meet and great clients and set up meeting rooms accordingly.


Staff will be cross trained to cover all the tasks performed by the team


The work would typically include the tasks listed below:



  • Greeting callers in a professional and friendly manner;
  • Providing great client service by quickly establishing the purpose of the call and effectively transferring calls to the correct person, usually a case handler;
  • Understanding the immediate needs of clients which may involve collating important and accurate information;
  • Meeting Service Level requirements;
  • Administrative duties;
  • Covering reception on a regular basis;
  • Meet and greet clients;
  • Dealing with any meeting requirements.

Skills/Competencies required:


You will have the ability to work accurately and efficiently, ability to stay calm under pressure. Confident, with an excellent telephone manner. Good interpersonal skills and a flexible attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.


You must be computer literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.


Experience:


Applicants will ideally have Call Handling or Receptionist experience gained in a client facing environment.


Education:


Good standard of education, candidates must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent.
