The successful candidate will be joining globally recognised manufacturing business, initially for 6 months (however, there may also be future opportunity for this role to become a permanent position) and you will be supporting at a high level across the whole plant, to all stakeholders within the business unit to ensure production targets are achieved.
The vacancy has been created due to the introduction of a continental shift pattern across 7 days, which means there is now a need for an Operations Manager to offer support to the Team Leaders in the Plant on site. Currently running 4 shifts a day you will be managing 3/4 Team leaders who in turn will be managing a production line of around 150 Production Operatives.
-You will be responsible for the daily activities of multiple production teams including managing team members, housekeeping, and meeting production targets.
-Working cross functionally to improve safety, productivity, quality and efficiency of operations.
-Providing guidance and feedback for team members in accomplishing tasks and goals; sets expectations and clarifies responsibilities.
-Coaching and mentoring team members.
-Identifying training needs; developing and implementing training plans.
To be considered for this role, you must have a significant amount of managerial experience within a manufacturing facility, and ideally be qualified to degree level.
This position pays £24.61 an hour, with a flat weekly shift bonus of £170.
Shift 1 - 07:00 - 15:00
Shift 2 - 15:00 - 23:00
If the shifts revert to 3 a day the shift bonus is a flat £87.
