Site Support Engineer

Salary - £32,000 - £38,000

Award winning manufacturer who supply highly reliable air purification systems to companies around the world are continuing to expand require an experienced site support engineer to join the team acting as a client liaison whilst on site to advise and supervise on the planned maintenance, overhaul, refitting, defect rectification, modification and commissioning of equipment in nuclear submarines and ships based at Rosyth or other sites as directed by the company.

As Site Support Engineer you will;

• Advise and supervise on the planned maintenance, overhaul, refitting, defect rectification, modification and commissioning of equipment in nuclear submarines and ships based at Rosyth and other sites across the UK.
• Act as a point of contact between the customer and company whilst on site
• Understand and carry out site activities, in accordance with contract requirements for installation, repair and test of equipment
• Provide technical support to customer personnel regarding company equipment
• Ensure technical and financial requirements defined within the contract are satisfied
• Maintain records of all hours worked authorised by contract
• Maintain records of all work undertaken and submit reports on the progress of work as required by the contract or as advised by the Production Manager

Qualifications

• HNC / ONC Mechanical Engineering or above essential
• Previous security clearance or ability to obtain essential
• Must have existing right to live and work in the UK essential
• Supervision of Engineering personnel
• Control of MoD Projects
• Knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or defence environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Well-Developed computer literacy skills within a Microsoft Office environment
• Structured logical approach with good judgement and decision making abilities
