We are currently recruiting for a strong and enthusiastic Pastry Chef to join our client's team based at this prestigious Prep School in Oxford. Catering for 1300 daily, the catering department provides breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as the catering for hospitality and functions. With a team of 10-12, you will be a key member of the team. The food produced is of high quality and all fresh food so the ability to work with all fresh ingredients is necessary. As the pastry Chef, you will be responsible for producing fresh bread, pastries and desserts for pupils as well as hospitality items.
As the site is a 7 day operation, you will be working evenings and weekends on a rota system.

To be considered as a candidate, you will
- be a strong Pastry Chef with a minimum of 2 years experience
- ideally hold your relevant chef qualifications as well current food hygiene certificate
- be able to work well within a team as well as using your own initiative
- be able to produced good food using fresh ingredients
- be used to catering for volume
- have an eye for detail and presentation
- be flexible and willing with a positive can do attitude
- be able to work evenings and weekend as required
