The Hyde Park is a high-intensity residential program provides services to four female adults with intellectual disabilities who present with complex mental health and behavioral challenges. The home provides individual therapy utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy models for therapy. Each individual in the program will be assessed and provided clinical services tailored to her identified needs and goals. The goal is to assist the individuals to make progress in the areas of personal safety and gain better control of their emotions and behavior. An on-site day program offers each individual a structured routine of skill building activities.
The Clinician would be responsible for providing individual therapy to individuals in a residential treatment program as indicated. Assisting Residential Counselors in developing and implementing Individual Support Plans (ISPs). Developing Clinical Positive Behavior Support (PBS) Plans, training staff to the plans. Utilizing database to maintain data and provide reporting. Train Staff to PBS fundamentals and assist with implementation, and perform QUIC Assessments. Conducting family meetings, leading clinical groups, trainings, and meetings as well as having a leadership role in the implementation of the treatment models used in the program. Participating in training staff and working with the leadership team to develop a supportive and nonjudgmental treatment milieu based upon the principles and values of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and PBS. The ideal candidate is someone who is flexible and has good teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
The clinician reports to the Division Director as well as a clinical supervisor.
Master's degree and licensure preferred (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, or license eligible within three months. Experience facilitating groups and formulating treatment plans also required. Applicant must possess skills in the areas of comprehensive assessment, leadership, staff training and development, time-management, and effective verbal and written communication. Experience with intellectual disabilities and behavior modification preferred. Eligible candidates must be MAP (Medication Administration) certified or certifiable. The Bridge provides MAP training. Restraint training is required; The Bridge provides SOLVE (Strategies of Limiting Violent Episodes) training and certification.
