Continuous Improvement / CI Facilitator

This is a newly created role and would suit an existing CI Coordinator/Facilitator in search of a new challenge or a Shift Manager with Six Sigma training and experience interested in a CI focused role.
Reporting to the CI Manager you develop and implement a range of improvement initiatives and projects across a large, fast-paced food production site to ensure the delivery of the manufacturing excellence programme.
You will work with colleagues across the business to identify areas of improvement with a focus on improving line efficiencies, reducing costs and minimising waste.
You will spend time coaching and training engineers and operators in CI activities, working closely to influence behaviours and proactively instil a culture of continuous improvement.
You will also cover for the CI Manager in his absence.
What sort of people are we looking for?
You will have prior experience of working in a CI focused role in food and drink manufacturing with a strong track record in delivering improvements and driving change.
You will a certified Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) with a clear understanding of utilising a range of tools and techniques (DMAIC, 5S, SMED, Kaizen).
Confident in your approach, you will be comfortable building relationships with colleagues at all levels and being able to challenge the status-quo.
You will have experience of coaching and mentoring teams of engineers and operators/production staff, ideally in a unionised environment.
