ITV is the biggest commercial television broadcaster, producer and distributor in the UK. Behind every famous face, there are hundreds of others, all doing their bit to make things happen. We love telly, we're passionate about content and most importantly we understand our audiences. As a growing international company, we're commercially minded and have a global focus. We're all about pushing the boundaries and being innovative.
We are looking for a talented digital producer to join our award-winning daytime digital team. You will be assigned to Good Morning Britain, but you may be expected to work across a number of different daytime programmes.
We're looking for a highly creative individual with a journalism background, who can turn around content within minutes, with a strong attention to detail and thrives within a live studio production. For example, you might be working in the gallery of Good Morning Britain during a big breaking news story so your editorial judgement and news sense must be excellent. You'll have an innate sense of what type of social media content works on what platforms - how to tell one story in different ways across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
You'll have experience creating social media and platform-first digital content for news and /or lifestyle brands and Adobe Premiere video editing skills. You'll be brimming full of ideas which make a story work for a digital audience, as well as how it translates to on screen.
You must be confident working in a fast-paced environment or have experience of meeting tight deadlines on a news or showbiz publication, liaising with production and editorial staff as well as dealing with talent or contributors to produce exciting and engaging digital-first content. As well as a passion for digital, you'll be a self-confessed news junkie who obsesses over the latest headlines, and you'll be first in the know on all things showbiz. Experience of pitching propositions and project managing commercial campaigns is desirable but not essential.
You must have an excellent understanding of algorithms and statistics to gain insight into what works across different platforms, using this knowledge to constantly improve and refine our digital offering.
Closing date: Wednesday 16th January
ITV is committed to increasing the diversity of its workforce and we strongly encourage applications from candidates from all backgrounds and as a Disability Confident employer we are committed to offer an interview to disabled candidates who meet the minimum criteria for the role.
