The main purpose of the job:
The Commercial Consultant exists to facilitate business functions at branch level recruiting and placing applicants with suitable client companies. They will represent Pertemps to new, existing and potential applicants and clients dedicated to providing support, advice and solutions for them.
The key accountabilities of the Job:
To place recruited and selected applicants with companies and jobs through successful matching given knowledge of the client requirements and the availability and quality of Pertemps recruits.
To undertake dedicated research and marketing activities in search for new vacancy opportunities and expanded applicant base in order to provide more matches and contracts for Pertemps.
To provide clear and reliable advice in existing relationships in order to build trust with clients and applicants and sustain business efforts in everyone's interests.
To make swift and accurate decisions to fill permanent vacancies for clients through rapid assimilation and consideration of information.
To provide expert support and advice within the branch knowing the actions and procedures of the team in order to contribute to the smooth running of branch and achievement of aims.
The Critical Activities of the jobs are:
To communicate with customers on behalf of Pertemps from initial contact to successful long-term relationships.
To obtain and process information about Pertemps ensuring that confidentiality and standard procedures are used.
To make accurate decisions about recruitment and placement under high pressure to deliver a first class service to our clients and candidates.
To initiate and implement research and marketing activities in an attempt to know and anticipate the activities of competitors and provide innovative and attractive service.
To respond flexibly to the demands and changes of the branch environment.
Providing a follow up service for placed applicant and client companies seeking their feedback on the service provided and acting on the information.
Communicating all relevant information to branch members and demonstrating commitment to reaching and exceeding company targets.
The Commercial Consultant will ideally express:
Dedication to providing immediate solutions to the needs of problems of customers and commitment to outstanding levels of service.
Ability to identify and strive for objectives, goals and targets.
Ability to continue work with an excellent sense of humour and perspective when faced with challenging and frustrating situations.
Development and building of trust through clear and well informed communication at all levels and ability to overcome sources of resistance.
Belief in own skills, capabilities and judgement and ability to communicate this to others.
Careful balancing of information and priorities in making important decisions with minimum delay, for example to make suitable applicant / client matches within a limited timeframe.
