Under the supervision of the Associate AD/Academics & Compliance, the Assistant Director of Compliance works to implement and monitor the regulations of Miami University, the NCAA, the Mid-American Conference, and the National Collegiate Hockey Conference for 19 sports and over 550 student-athletes.
This position specifically supports the mission of the University and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics by assisting in institutional compliance with NCAA and Conference rules and regulations.
The position primarily focuses on monitoring efforts related to Bylaw 11, Bylaw 13, and Bylaw 17.
Additional tasks will include, but are not limited to:
Create, distribute, and present rules education materials Research and communicate interpretations (all bylaws) Research, draft, and submit NCAA and Mid-American Conference waivers Manage compliance social media accounts
Beyond these areas of focus, the position has many opportunities to expand knowledge and grow into a greater role within the compliance department.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience using JumpForward or similar compliance-oriented application (i.e., ACS, Front Rush)
- Familiarity with social media applications
- Experience using NCAA applications (i.e., LSDBi, RSRO)
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and direct manner
