They might help to structure a complex and sensitive cross-border transaction; advise on a new product introduction; develop a training program or defuse an investor dispute. They preserve the firm's invaluable reputation for integrity and protect the firm from sanctions with policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements around the world. They also strive to maintain cooperative relationships with governmental policy makers and the regulatory and self-regulatory agencies that govern the firm's businesses.

The Wealth Management Compliance Training & Communications Group is responsible for developing and maintaining a compliance training program for Morgan Stanley's wealth management business. The primary objective of the team is to provide training that reflects the relevant laws, regulations, Firm policies and compliance issues that impact the WM business. The core responsibilities for the role are to create and deliver high quality training solutions that adhere to adult learning principles and effectively communicate training concepts to a broad audience.

Core areas of responsibility include:
· Create effective e-learning and instructor-led solutions that apply adult learning principles and adhere to the Firm's standards on branding and timing
· Work with various subject matter experts to refine content gaps and make recommendations that support the overall training strategy
· Ability to adapt content to reflect changes in the regulatory environment and evolving business needs
· Create e-learning solutions that are compatible with the Firm's Learning Management System ("LMS"), Cornerstone OnDemand, including managing all phases of LMS administration (building populations, creating assignments, testing course functionality)
· Update and maintain existing course offerings and other training materials
· Maintain knowledge of industry trends and new modalities to bring an "outside-in" approach to training strategies

Qualifications:

Skills Desired
· Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Instructional Design/Delivery or related field preferred.
· 7 + years of instructional designer experience in the financial industry
· Superior verbal and written communications skills
· Ability to create engaging, interactive e-learning solutions
· Proficient in the application of adult learning principles in training
· Strong focus on process improvement
· Ability to manage competing priorities while delivering projects on time
· Ability to effectively communicate and build consensus across a broad range of stakeholders
· Demonstrated success working in an environment that values teamwork and collaboration
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Strong organizational skills with project management experience preferred
· Vendor management experience
· Familiarity with training and design applications for design and development (e.g., Skype, WebEx, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Learning Management System)
