The Relationship Management Group (RMG) serves as the centralized point of contact for current and prospective third party asset managers for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM). As part of RMG,
The Data / Asset Manager Business Development's team goal is to enhance sales and revenue opportunities by educating partners and driving activity on data sets and training sales teams on best practices in working with National Sales and Financial Advisors in the branch system. The team is responsible for the Asset Manager Data program and searches for new formats and innovative ideas to enhance the process including delivery, communications and revenue.

Reporting Line: Head of RMG Data and Asset Manager Business Development
Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible to build and maintain relationships on a field level primarily with National and Divisional Sales, secondarily with National Accounts and Business Intelligence / Data teams of asset managers to train sales teams, drive activity, revenue and Firm initiatives.

The Candidate will be tasked with:
• Develop and manage relationships with sales leaders of asset managers
• Ongoing development of a training agenda for asset managers and delivering
on site group presentations to sales teams
• Uncover speaking opportunities and actively participate in sales meetings,
events, and data related conference calls with asset managers
• Maintain a working knowledge of data intermediaries and competitor
intelligence
• Develop an understanding of the Business Intelligence segment of the industry
and the developing role that it plays in analyzing data and disseminating ideas to sales teams.
• Assist in developing data proposals and sales presentations
• Interface with various sources within the Firm including Investment Solutions
and National Sales to stay current on investment trends, resources and
initiatives
• Leverage relationships within asset managers data teams to uncover
opportunities and enhance the Firm's reputation with data subscribers
• Develop a conversational knowledge of trends including predictive analytics
and artificial intelligence
• Assist in the development of a data user group
• Assist in the research of data inquiries from current subscribers
• Build and manage relationships with National Sales, primarily with Regional
Sales Managers (RSMs) and COOs. Uncover speaking opportunities at field
sponsored group meetings with multiple asset managers. Present upon
request at training sessions of Business Development Managers.
• Attend at least one internal Firm conference to maintain a knowledge of
investment trends, Firm themes, tools and practice management resources
• Attend weekly team conference calls and monthly RMG meetings and events
• Build a field level contact database within a shared CRM system by Investment
Solutions and post meeting notes to the database at the end of each week

Qualifications:

Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree with emphasis on marketing, communications, finance or
equivalent experience
· 10 years of Wealth Management and/ or Asset Management experience in an
external, Financial Advisor facing sales capacity
· Series 7, 63, 65 or 66. Proficiency in all Microsoft programs. CIMA or other
advanced designation is desirable

Personal Specifications:
· The successful candidate will demonstrate high personal initiative, be highly
organized with the ability to work independently and be a strong team player
· Ability to travel extensively and manage an ever changing schedule
(approximately 70% travel)
· Sales focused with ability to think strategically and develop innovative ways to
optimize partner data, sales and training
· Advanced communication and presentation skills, especially in large group
settings.
