As Events and Support Officer you'll play a vital role in delivering services that transform the lives of the women and families that Target Ovarian Cancer supports. The successful candidate will organise and evaluate our face-to-face support events and peer-to-peer programme, help manage our relationships with the women we support, and increase the reach and impact of our support and awareness-raising activities. Key responsibilities include:

Leading on the planning, implementation and evaluation of our Being Together Days, Supporting You, and Ask the Expert events.
Working with colleagues across the charity to promote our support events to women with ovarian cancer and healthcare professionals to ensure as many women as possible know about and can attend our events.
Facilitating the involvement of women with ovarian cancer and their families in other areas of the organisation such as social media, parliamentary events, focus groups and awareness raising - proactively identifying opportunities to cross-promote our services and engage with new audiences.
Assisting women and their families to carry out awareness raising activity, monitoring the team's activities and budget for Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month activities, and managing the awareness pages on the website.
Running the 'In Touch' programme providing ongoing peer-to-peer support for women (currently through an online Facebook group).

Together, we can empower women to come together to share their experiences, have a better understanding of their diagnosis, and be confident to take part in decisions about their treatment and care.
