Our team helps financial organisations navigate regulatory complexity while strengthening trust and transparency in their business. Our clients cover industries within banking and capital markets, private equity, insurance, and consumer finance. While many of the rules of business have changed, the fundamentals haven't. You'll work alongside senior members of the client's management team in planning the audit process from beginning to end, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and fair presentation of our client's information.ResponsibilitiesWe are currently recruiting an Assurance Manager into our Edinburgh or Glasgow office to work in our market leading, technology enabled Funds practice. We provide a significant proportion of the UK's funds audits and most of these are delivered by our Funds practice across our Edinburgh and Glasgow offices. We work with a significant number of fund houses from large, global asset managers to small, boutique firms.This role provides an outstanding opportunity for individuals with experience in UK Funds audit or administration to join an established team and gain exposure to a high profile Funds client portfolio. Our Glasgow office, in the centre of the city, employs over 300 industry and technical specialists. A key part of the office is our financial services team which has strong and established relationships across banking, asset management, insurance and third party service providers. Many of our Glasgow FS clients are located in the immediate vicinity of our Bothwell Street office and the thriving International Financial Services District.Naturally, we enjoy a great social scene, and you'll be welcomed into this by your local social committee. We have a great social calendar which you'll be invited to join and you can take up to 6 days to volunteer in your local community too. Scotland is at the heart of PwC.Skills and Expertise
An ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent
UK GAAP, the Statement of Recommended Practice for UK Authorised Funds and Collective Investment Schemes sourcebook experience
Strong communication and project management skills to facilitate the triparty relationship between client, administrator and PwC
A flexible approach and passion for client service
A working knowledge of business development activity
A desire to further your career and personal development
