Role Responsibilities


· Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts.

· Provide commentary and reports to senior management on financial performance.

· Complete annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting exercises.

Monitor and report on capital expenditure activity.· Assist with the development of other stakeholder relationships e.g., investor reporting and banking relationships.


· Develop and comment upon financial Key Performance Indicators, with an emphasis on trends in business profitability, growth and cash flows.

Liaise with the contracts manager to ensure both current contract performance and future forecasts are accurately reported upon. Audits

Liaise with auditors on annual financial audits; assist in production of statutory financial statements.
Assist with the production of Corporation Tax returns, Companies House declarations and ONS surveys as and when required.General

Support the wider finance team in purchase ledger and payroll processing, management and control of consumable stocks and answering general queries.
Prepare regular balance sheet reconciliations.
Support the Finance Director on ad hoc projects as required.Health and Safety

To report and record all accidents and incidents in line with Company procedure safeguarding the welfare and safety of all colleagues during working hours with regard to the Health and Safety at Work Act.
Take reasonable care to avoid injury to yourself or to others and to co-operate with the company in meeting its statutory requirements.
The post holder must act at all times in a professional and responsible manner and to have due regard to confidentiality and H&S legislation. Comply with the organisational policy on confidentiality and the Data protection Act relating to information held manually or on computerised systems.Other Activities:

· Awareness and compliance of ISO9001, ISO27001 and GDPR regulations

· Responsible for the oversight and continual improvement of the management systems (IMS) including clear objectives and focus for all employees and clear and appropriate standards and measures of performance to satisfy the standards, legal and other


· To help create a culture of learning, trust and self-improvement

· Any other duties as required

Essential Skills

Qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA must be fully qualified
Solid experience as a management accountant, pulling accounts together and reporting
People management experience
Audit experience
