As a Specialist chef in Sweets and Savory, we expect a prospective candidate to take responsibility and ownership of the following.

  • Preparation of South Indian sweets and savories. A few sweets to mention are Mysore Pak, laddu, Cashew Kathli, Badam Halwa, varieties of Poli and many other south Indian sweets. Some of the savories include varieties of Murukku, Seedai, mixture, thattai and many other varieties of Savory.
  • Training and supervising junior Chefs.
  • Purchasing & dealing with suppliers, stock control, quality checks, health & hygiene compliance and HACCP protocols.
  • Monitoring food safety & temperatures, maintaining cleanliness and good order of equipment and work areas.
  • Cost analysis and review, preparing reports and schedules, and performing key duties as assigned.

Experience Required

Our ideal candidate will have

  • Minimum of 3 years working in a professional kitchen.
  • Experience in South Indian sweets and savoury cooking.
  • Experience producing a wide range of Indian Sweets and Savoury.
  • Excellent knowledge of the catering industry.
  • Must have an up-to date food hygiene certificate.
