Family Support is an independent organisation (though wholly owned by the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham) providing services to the local authority, London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. Our independence allows us to be agile in the way we deliver our service and requires that our staff are agile and flexible. We are currently looking for Family Practitioners, to provide a first-class service to local families.

The successful candidates will report to a Family Support Manager and will be responsible for holding a caseload of 10-15 families with children and young people aged 0-19 years. You may either be supporting these families as the lead professional or working jointly with Social Work colleagues. Experience of systemic practice and Signs of Safety would be beneficial and use of Mosaic as a case file recording system would be a distinct advantage - although training on both will be provided. Direct work with the families you work with is required at least every 2 weeks so successful candidates will be expected to manage their own hours to meet the needs of the clients. Family Support maintains a robust monitoring procedure and in line with this, candidates will receive monthly supervision and case file auditing.

Our policy of flexible and agile working will require you to work out of different Hammersmith and Fulham sites and provide the opportunity to work from home as dictated by the needs of the business. This role requires an individual who is proactive, who can work independently and as part of a team. You will come into contact with our community and our families and so the ability to communicate to and across a spectrum of individuals is very important.

Together we have an ambitious plan to deliver more responsive and impactful early intervention that works in partnership with other organisations, the community and families. We want to see life chances enhanced and over ten years the cost (both human and financial) of failure reduced. We need proactive staff who are up for a challenge, willing to take responsibility and who share and want to be a part of our vision.

If you have the experience, drive and appropriate essential requirements, please do apply.

Please apply with your CV and a covering letter.
