Salary: Up to £23,000
Hours of Work: 9.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday
To provide an efficient secretarial service to various solicitors within a highly successful law practice in Northampton.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1 To deliver practical services of outstanding quality that are focused on the Client's needs.
1 Type letters to banks, clients, companies, solicitors and the courts, taking care to check and proof read carefully
1 Under the supervision of a fee-earner, compose straightforward letters.
1 Type/complete legal documents and forms from the department's precedent bank and complete routine searches under supervision.
1 Answer the telephone in a professional manner, put calls through to the fee-earner quickly and efficiently and take accurate messages when the fee-earner is engaged or absent
1 Perform accounts related duties, e.g. complete new client/matter forms, calculate and type bills, organise paperwork for raising cheques and expenses, request computer printouts.
1 General and routine office duties, such as, photocopying and filing, etc.
1 To be trained on reception and cover as and when required.
1 To undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
Skills / Experience
2 years Legal experience.
Qualifications / Education
Good educational background
Quick, accurate typist
