The Accounts Payable Accountant will research outstanding checks, credit balances and AP duplicate payments. Reconcile purchase variance during month end close. Reconcile AP errors, manual check clearing, factory returns and stock transfers. Prepare annual 1099s.


Duties and Responsibilities: 

Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for factory returns, stock transfers, AP errors, tax errors and AP clearing accounts

Monthly reconciliation of variances relating to price, quantity and freight for stock invoices

Monthly reconciliation of AP credit balance and duplicate payments

Prepare annual 1099s

Perform other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

Ability to work independently as well as with others in assigned group with little to no supervision

Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external personnel

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Possess general understanding of institutional financial policies and procedures and makes appropriate decisions based on this knowledge

Solid data analysis skills

Must be accurate with figures, well organized, and exercise sound judgment in decision making

Minimum Job Qualifications: 

High school diploma or equivalent required

Bachelor degree in Accounting required

Minimum of one year Accounting experience or College Internship is preferred

Working knowledge of all Microsoft office applications

Regular on-site, in-person attendance is required
