My client who is listed in the Sunday Times Top 100 companies to work for is recruiting for driven individuals to work closely with the principal data engineer to deliver modern data architecture with both streaming and batch data ingress based within databricks.

This role is remote and will also offer:

As a Data engineer you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Implementing data solutions using modern technologies
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary engineering team to develop and implement products by applying knowledge of design principles, procedures, and practices
  • Contributing to the scrum events
  • Developing and managing technical documentation to agreed standards
  • Contributing to Data Quality and Governance (eg Data Retention).
  • Supporting, maintaining, monitoring, and logging of existing solutions.

The ideal Data Engineer should have the following skills:

  • Proficiency in Python/Scala (Experience in pyspark and/or Databricks is a plus)
  • Experience with AWS
  • Experience of Big Data technologies (Kafka and Delta lake
  • Experience with Agile methodology and problem-centric solution design
