Job Title: IT Project Manager
Location: Merseyside (Hybrid)
The IT Project Manager will be part of a team that are responsible for ensuring that IT projects are completed on time, that the project's objectives are met, and that everyone involved is performing to the required standard. Overseas travel may be required from time to time to meet the needs of the project.
Acting as project manager on multiple simultaneous projects and programmes (development, infrastructure based and implementation projects.
Work with all areas of the department, including the Head of Business Systems, Developers, Testers, Business Analysts and support teams, whilst remaining objective regarding their responsibilities.
Collaborate with all project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects.
Working with the PM team developing best practices for project based work.
Working with the PM team to Develop and maintain a project management framework to effectively manage and prioritise all IT projects throughout the entire project life cycle
Making sure that projects meet their success criteria.
Working with IT line managers to identify and allocate appropriate resources.
Developing project/stage plans as required for each project and ensuring that they are shared with all members of the project team.
Where assigned, run steering groups with key business and technical stakeholders throughout the company to ensure that the priority of IT projects are aligned with key business goals and to identify opportunities for future business improvements.
Provide a solution for IT management to effectively identify how resource is allocated by project across the department.
Assist Business Support with general support and implementation tasks where necessary.
To undertake other duties of an appropriate nature in consultation with the Line Manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent communication skills with the ability to talk to and present to a range of audiences.
The ability to work under pressure on multiple projects within your project timeframes.
Well developed interpersonal skills
Experience of managing projects
Management and leadership skills
Desirable Work Experience
Managed infrastructure projects
Managed software development projects
Experience in working on M&A projects
Experience on system integration projects
3+ years experience in a similar role.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Experience using tools such as Asana, Jira and Google Apps.
Project management qualification (Prince2 Practitioner or similar)
Degree level education (preferably in a relevant field)
