Leading financial Services company have an immediate need for a Finance Management Processor

Why apply for this role?
This is an excellent and exciting opportunity for an individual seeking to develop their skills in the finance department where you'll be responsible for the allocation and processing of all cash related transactions, invoices and control processes for our joint venture, and then processing and investigation of transactions. This role involves being the point of contact for processing and queries.
You will be joining a supportive team of other finance processors and are guided, trained, and developed by a dedicated team leader.
Due to the nature of this role the job holder must be in the office on the last and first day of the month (working days -1 and 1).

What you'll be doing
*Accounts Payable (AP)
*Provide an AP service for the recording and payment of third-party supplier invoices
*Resolving supplier queries in a timely manner, referring to senior resource where necessary
*Reconciling supplier statements to ensure accuracy and integrity of profit & loss account
*Updating Walker Financials with supplier transactions
*Cash and Cheque Payments
*Validating cheque payments
*Encoding cash & cheque payments to customer agreements
*Performing a daily reconciliation of cash transactions processed versus transactions banked
*Banking cheques to Walker Financials
*Logging and encoding of CHAPS and BACS payments on banking systems
*Processing transactions received on joint venture bank accounts to customer agreements and/or Walker Financials
*Reconciling and processing credit card payments to customer agreements
*Investigate and resolve internal customer queries received by both telephone and email
*Ensuring that all documentation is passed for scanning and providing cover if required

What we're looking for
*Excellent computer literacy and numeracy skills, MS Office and especially Excel
*Excellent attention to detail and advanced analytic skills
*Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
*Highly organised and possess strong planning skills
*Good verbal and written communication skills, being an excellent communicator
*A team player, whilst also being able to work autonomously
*Positive and enthusiastic approach
*Receptive to change
*Use of SAGE accounts would be beneficial
*An interest or qualification (AAT) in finance/accounting would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be provided

Other things you need to know
The department operates between the hours of 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, with a one-hour unpaid break each day.
The salary for this role is £25 - £28,000 per annum.
