Client is looking for Data analytics with AML experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Tuning and Systems team, within the wider Product team. In this role, you will lead a small team of Graduate Analysts and will apply data analytics tools and techniques and support with the design and implementation of a repeatable framework for tuning, testing and measurement of anomalies

Key responsibilities in this role will include (but not be limited to):

- Apply data analytic tools and techniques to identify changes to optimise relevant screening systems

- Build a good understanding of the screening solution and identify tuning rules to reduce false positives generated from the screening system

- Build a good understanding of the auto-decision solution and build a process to validate and manage rules within the auto-decision solution

- Support the Screening Systems Tuning Lead in defining a tuning framework to reduce false positives within the screening process

- Conduct data analysis by leveraging historical data to identify ways to improve screening output

- Support the Screening Systems Tuning Lead in designing and implementing a repeatable framework for tuning, testing and measurement of anomalies

- Review and assess existing system and controls relevant to screening to ascertain operational performance and effectiveness measures

- Support with the alignment of systems to model risk management processes and standards

- Ensure that screening systems that are developed and deployed are fit-for-purpose.

- Conduct analysis based on transaction types, lists and matching algorithms

- Work with the Screening Systems Tuning Lead to define custom reporting requirements that can support the on-going tuning process

- Work with the wider delivery team and Delivery Partner(s) to remove impediments to productivity and/or timely integration with the lighthouse banks

- Bachelor's degree/Master's degree from a reputed institute in the field of Finance/Technology

- Previous experience in a data analytics/risk analytics role

- An ability to analyse information and succinctly summarise results, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies.

- Experience in statistical modelling and analysis using techniques such as regression analysis, multivariate analysis, factor analysis, and clustering

- Proficiency in R and/or Python programming

- Proficiency in SQL Scripting and SQL databases

- Experience working with XML data structures and JSON data formats

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Experience using Jira and Confluence

- Strong analytical and problem-solving expertise

- Experience of working with a distributed team

- Fluent in written and spoken business English

- The following experience may be advantageous but is not essential: HiveQL, Spark

- Exposure and experience to sanctions screening systems and analytics related to screening
