Job scope:

Methods is an accredited ServiceNow partner and due to significant growth and success is expanding its ServiceNow practice. The ServiceNow Senior System Administrator is a senior technical resource that possesses advanced administration capability and is able to design, build, and customize ServiceNow applications and services.

The ServiceNow Senior System Administrator will oversee the maintenance of the stability and usability of the ServiceNow platform by performing application maintenance, managing support for incidents related to ServiceNow applications, and undertaking ServiceNow software releases as required.

The ServiceNow Senior System Administrator may be required to oversee and guide junior or less experienced members of the admin team, to ensure that all live service activities are correctly carried out in line with best practice.

Role:

The ServiceNow Senior Systems Administrator will manage and confidently execute the following

  • Plan and perform routine maintenance to include performance monitoring and error identification/remediation
  • Manage Update Set creation and migration
  • Manage and resolve incidents against ServiceNow applications
  • Schedule and verify instance clones
  • Lead ServiceNow upgrade planning and execution
  • Manage Instance Security, User/Group Access/Access Control Lists

Essential Skills:

  • Advanced-level knowledge of ServiceNow as a user and administrator.
  • Enterprise and/or IT Service Management experience.
  • Delivery and administration track record

Desirable Skills

  • Scripting knowledge eg. Javascript, Python, HTML
  • Team leader experience
  • Mentoring and support experience
