*File documents and open new files within the criteria set down by the Quality Control Manual
*Identify and retrieve documents from within an established filing system
*Produce information in typewritten form
*Prepare for despatch outgoing/internal mail
*Produce copies from original documents using photocopier
*Receive and assist Clients calling into the Office
*Processing incoming and outgoing telephone calls
*Receive and relay oral and written messages
*Transmit and receive copies of documents using fax machine
*Maintain an established filing system
*Produce a wide variety of documents
*Complete accounts documentation and time recording documentation
*Travel to other North Devon offices to provide holiday/sickness and Maternity cover for other secretaries
This list of tasks is not exhaustive and the employee may be asked to work in addition to the areas laid down.
*Trained in secretarial practice
*Excellent word-processing and audio-typing skills with a tested typing speed of at least 70 WPM
*Preferable previous experience as a legal secretary or experience of working in an alternate professional office
Personal transport is required to be able to get to all of the offices, the company will cover the mileage.
Hours: Monday - Friday - 9am - 5.15pm
