Our client is an ambitious, growing and entrepreneurial polymer distribution company mainly selling Polystyrene, Polypropylene, Polyethylene, ABS, SAN, POM, Nylon and Polycarbonate. To support their sustained level of growth, the company is recruiting an Area Sales Manager based targeting customers in injection moulding, sheet/film extrusion, blow moulding, rotational moulding and compounders. The aim is to continue the company's rapid growth by developing new business/customers within this defined territory. There are lots of resources available to support and maximize business opportunities.
The candidate needs to possess strong sales capability; be innovative, forward thinking, self-motivated, target driven and hungry to succeed. The position will ideally suit someone with previous polymer market experience (processing/material/customer knowledge); however consideration will also be given to commercial candidates with the right character, attitude and potential. Applications are welcome from established sales professionals and also 'go getting' internal sales executives working in raw material distribution who would like to develop a career in external sales. There are opportunities to grow with the company and share in its development and success.
To maintain and grow sales with new and existing customers, providing commercial support in order to exceed the UK teams' sales targets. To plan and carry our customer visits throughout the allocated region with clear objectives and goals in an efficient manner. To develop profitable, sustainable business in line with the company strategy and business plan
⦁ To grow sales through new customer acquisition and through the maintenance and development of new accounts.
⦁ Develop a strategic sales plan to map and develop your allocated region and markets
⦁ Manage and maintain good customer relationships to ensure delivery of on-going business in line with UK Sales Budget
⦁ Responsible for the mapping of the market and its opportunities
⦁ Ensure the seamless and professional introduction of new business into the company through robust communication of customer requirements internally and to technical and manufacturing partners.
⦁ Responsible for the sales pipeline management and market analysis
⦁ Develop pricing strategies in line with business processes and ensure that there are regular reviews of pricing and material costs.
⦁ As a member of the sales team, you work pro- actively and closely together with the other members to achieve sales growth
Candidate Profile & Experience:
⦁ Experience in the plastic industry
⦁ A driven and determined individual, with the ability to seek out and win new business
⦁ Manages with a high level of integrity, with a real customer focus
⦁ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and translate customer needs.
⦁ Understands the markets, likes to be on top of it and is able to translate and connect micro opportunities in strategic customer plans
⦁ Is a natural communicator, good negotiator and an entrepreneur driven by results
⦁ Result oriented and a proven track record in relevant industry
