We are looking for a Fraud and Irregularity Investigations Manager with experience of leading and managing complex investigations in a civil, criminal or regulatory environment & of the UK legal framework relating to Fraud, Bribery & Corruption. You will be investigating financial related fraud looking at funding thats been allocated and what they have done with it & have experience of Auditing, Accounting & Counter fraud investigations.
Based Manchester, Coventry, Darlington or Sheffield with frequent travel - mostly office based.
-Manage and lead the investigation of complex fraud and financial irregularity allegations against Pre 16 education providers (Academies) or Post 16 education providers (Further Education Colleges & Independent Training Providers).
-Respond in a systematic manner to allegations ensuring detailed investigations are conducted.
-Work closely with external stakeholders such as the Police, Insolvency Service and Charities Commission.
-Pursue the consequences of irregular behaviour including recoveries and criminal investigation.
-Recent experience and understanding of the education sector environment, including academies, FE Colleges and Training Providers.Pre & post 16.
-Experience of audit approaches, methodology and risk management
-Understanding of the regulatory framework governing academies and/or colleges and training providers
-Desirable experience of counter fraud investigations in the civil or criminal arena
-Analytical and problem solving skills/familiarity with Outlook, Excel and Sharepoint
As well as the specific experience required above you will have the necessary qualifications, skills & experience of a Fraud and Irregularity Investigations Manager to take control of this requirement from its inception to its completion.
