FAMILY LAW PARALEGAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Key responsibilities of the Legal Assistant / Paralegal are likely to include:
·Providing legal advice and assistance to clients of the practice in family matters
·Maintain files and handle cases in accordance with SRA requirements and QA standards
·Prepare and submit bills of account promptly and in line with charging procedures
·Undertake specific training to develop knowledge and expertise
·Take instructions from the Head of Department as required
·Assist with the general administration of the firm
FAMILY LAW PARALEGAL PERSON SPECIFICATION
·Degree educated with experience within a similar role
·A genuine passion for Family Law
·Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
·Audio Typing skills would be an advantage
·Knowledge of MS Office
·Ability to use own initiative and manage a large workload
·Attention to detail
·Excellent organisation and time management
·Ability to work with compassion and empathy whilst maintaining professionalism
