Integration Architect

Our client, based just outside of Derby, is looking for an Integration Architect to join their team on a permanent basis. The Integration Architect will be responsible for the planning, coordination, development, and supervision of all activities related to the integration of software programs, applications, and third-party solutions to meet the business requirements. The integration needs are primarily focused on connecting on-premises and cloud-based commercial software applications, such as ERP, CRM, MDM and eCommerce systems. This individual is also responsible for developing and maintaining an application integration architecture blueprint.

This will be hybrid working - 2 days on site 3 days from home

Role Requirements

  • BSc degree preferred
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture, systems architecture and data architecture standards, frameworks, and practices
  • Extensive knowledge of integration architecture standards, frameworks, and practices
  • Extensive knowledge of common system integration methods and technologies including Web services, SOAP, JSON, XML Schema Definition (XSD)
  • Extensible Markup Language (XML), Business process automation and orchestration tools and software
  • Expertise in solution design and development, vendor management, enterprise application support, in addition to strong business understanding and project management
  • Experience with the implementation of Continuous Integration practices and tooling to support automated build, delivery, and regression test of commercial software
  • Proven experience in managing relationships with vendors/consultants, IT teams and internal stakeholders
  • Experience working with API's from commercial software applications, such as CRM or ERP systems
  • A passion for all things tech and has a drive to experiment with new technologies to see where they can benefit the business
  • Experience in a management or supervisory role on an integration development team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An interest in staying hands-on technical
  • Demonstrable experience of working autonomously and making decisions
  • TOGAF qualified (or equivalent) is desirable although not essential depending on experience
  • Strong, up to date knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud Service is highly desirable although not essential if experience in a similar product
  • Confident dealing with managers and employees at all levels
  • Experience of partnering diverse teams across multiple sites
  • Comfortable with travel 4 days PCM
  • Experience working in pharmaceutical/healthcare/life sciences industry advantageous
