Product Manager - Media up to 60k dep on experience plus bonus
This powerhouse media publishing brand is looking for an experienced, driven Product Manager to grow their business using product development techniques to help customers have the best experience on the site, increasing engagement and driving incremental revenue. The Product team is responsible for creating and managing the portfolio of digital and technical products that drive this organisations publications.
This brand is high profile and have a well known growing, global audience. They keep innovation at the heart of all of their marketing activity and product offerings, by making a transition away from traditional business models.
The Product Manager is at the sharp end of product delivery. Taking charge of a small portfolio of products, you will be responsible for defining new features, prioritising them, writing user stories, reviewing solutions, defining acceptance criteria and improving the work the delivery team produce. You will represent your product, ensuring your stakeholders are fully aligned and the development team engaged.
To succeed you will have worked as product manager (or similar) previously. You will be a digital expert, familiar with the full digital product lifecycle. You'll be commercially literate and used to using data to help you form plans and strategies. There is a big people element too - you'll be a strong communicator and leader, instilling confidence in the stakeholders up to Director level and occasionally Executive level. Personally you will be outgoing, fun, creative and above all resilient. Plain speaking, open and honest with the ability to tailor your style appropriately. You will be relentlessly curious and addicted to learning new things, or finding a better way.
Experience: Experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner Accountability for achieving commercial targets Experience of owning the product backlog Experience in publishing is desirable Exposure to loyalty platforms is desirable
Skills Understanding complex problems and communicate them appropriately Ability to identify key value opportunities and quick wins in a timely manner Build good relationships and good working practices with third parties Co- operates and works well with others The ability to communicate well on both business and technical level to all levels of the organisation React to changing demands Methodical , logical and flexible approach Practical and decisive Emotional intelligence and situation awareness Strong verbal and written communication skills
