My Client is currently seeking to recruit a talented and experienced Economist, propensity towards business development, with a sharp analytical mind, enthusiasm, and flair to join their expanding Commissioned Projects team.
We are trying to recruit an Economist with a thorough and rounded knowledge of Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Econometrics and Statistics, and their real world application together with proven analytical and quantitative skills with great attention to detail.
Ideally, I am looking for an Economist from either a Consultancy or a Civil Service or a Corporate Environment with experience of analysing and interpreting data from a wide variety of sources, writing and preparing reports and presentations, as well as liaising with clients and assisting with new business development.
Two years or more in similar role in consultancy, demonstrably similar "client-facing" roles in Civil Service, Corporate Environment or think-tanks would be advantageous.
As part of a team, you will be contributing to the winning, conducting and delivery of Commissioned Projects to clients and may be responsible for all aspects of smaller projects or significant elements of larger commissions.
Advanced level in MS Excel, Powerpoint and Word, familiar with Outlook. Skills in Econometric and Statistics packages, especially SPSS.
Other responsibilities and skills to include:
Economic Modelling and Forecasting.
Analysing an interpreting a wide variety of data with the ability to understand results and draw key messages and implications.
Conveyancing conclusions of research clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences in written form, through formal presentations and in meetings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that inspire the confidence of clients and colleagues.
Able to grapple with the widest range of intellectual and practical problems simultaneously.
Good career and promotion prospects.
Salary is commensurate with experience
