I have a brand new role available for a Senior Service Delivery Manager to join a Global leading engine technology company. You will join the Infrastructure and Operations team and you will be responsible for Service Delivery of Critical Business Services and Products to designated business units along with the performance and quality of critical services and the realisation of business units/helping maximise value from Group IT services and products.

This is a relationship role due to the extensive amount of outsourced partners. I'm looking for a great communicator with war stories under their belt who can demonstrate extensive experience of major incident management resolutions.

You will work with the Global Head of Service Operations, Head of Regional Delivery and Service Leads/Service Managers etc. and external vendors.

The responsibilities include:

  • Helping exceed SLAs and OLAs through internal and external services supply chain
  • Enhancing the relationship between Infrastructure and Operations and your assigned business units
  • Establishing clear communication channels between IT and assigned business areas
  • Provide oversight of IT Service performance and End User Experience
  • Advising and providing insights to the business regarding the improvement of performance and/or productivity of systems
  • Acting as the point of escalation for all critical service issues
  • Providing valuable input (context and data) for building business cases to address root cause of issues across a business unit
  • Maintaining a business unit level dashboard to capture performance
  • Leading the Service Leads associated with a business unit to perform insights, governance, communications

The key experience I am looking for:

  • IT Service lead will report into this role and will focus more on the shop floor
  • Ensure that the supply chain/outsourced eco system is engaged properly and is working correctly.
  • Looking after joint venture companies - start-ups etc.
  • Focused on overcoming relationship problems, delighting the customer
  • Someone who has gravitas and authority
  • ITIL experience essential - no particular version (lots of Learning and developing ops)
  • Incident management experience
  • Manufacturing background would be ideal
  • Good rounded experience of IT systems, IT Future technologies, Vendor management
  • Can demonstrate major incident management processes
  • Driving metrics and dashboards
  • Exposure to various key business aspects, shop floor, manufacturing environment & Engineering

Office Visits:

The role is largely remote with 6 days of the month where you will be required to visit the 3 different Northern office locations (Barneswick near Burnley, Glasgow Airport & Washington, in the Tyne). Please note that a hire car is available for each of the sites/mileage is covered if you wish to use your own car.
