Are you an experienced administrator with outstanding communication skills? Do you have a calm approach to working under pressure with ability to adapt when speaking to people about sensitive issues?

We are seeking an exceptional administrator to join our client based in Colchester, to take responsibility of a caseload of reports that are being undertaken by their consultants. Being the first point of contact for their customers on open cases, the suitable candidate will help resolve queries and act as a liaison between contractors and customers.

The Role

  • Take responsibility for a caseload of reports
  • Liaise with customers by telephone and email to ensure a friendly and professional service is provided
  • Liaise with contractors by telephone and email to ensure they are assisted with administrative tasks and ensure they report on time
  • Manage cases through to filing of reports
  • Liaise with Quality Assurance Consultants before the report is agreed and filed
  • File reports with the commissioning organisation on time
  • Work as part of a team providing proactive, efficient and effective administrative support
  • Update and maintain information on the Case Management System
  • Prepare correspondence and other documents to be forwarded onto contractors
  • Prioritise workload effectively to cope with changing demands
  • Attend meetings as required
  • Maintain confidential electronic records
  • Liaise with a wide range of people at all levels from both within and outside of the business
  • Work flexibly and provide cross service cover when fluctuating workloads or staff absences require this
  • Ensure that messages and information is taken and dealt with effectively and promptly
  • To comply with individual responsibilities, in accordance with work role, for Health and Safety in the workplace
  • Respond to routine and non-routine correspondence and ensure that is dealt with in a timely and professional manner
  • Undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required

The Person

  • Previous experience within a administrative role
  • Advanced skills using MS Office
  • Possession of good inter-personal skills and a professional, confident telephone manner
  • High-level personal organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to cope under pressure
  • Outstanding team player

Benefits to you

  • 35 hours per week - Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm
  • Competitive Salary - £18,000 - £21,000 per annum dependent upon experience, bonus scheme, contributory pension, free parking
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, plus one additional day for birthday
