Home Manager and Head Cook
To assist the Head Cook and to assist with correct storage of foodstuff as laid down by the Food Hygiene General Regulations Act 1970
To assist with the ordering of provisions and foodstuff and check for quality and quantity against delivery advice notes.
To check and record daily fridge and freezer temperatures as regulation requires.
To assist the Head Cook in the preparation of nourishing meals for the Residents.
To ensure high standards of hygiene in the preparation of food and to be aware of the rights and duties under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
To maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times following procedures and cleaning schedules.
To help the dining room assistant as required and instructed by the cook.
To assist with the correct disposal of waste.
To serve morning drinks to the residents.
To attend Staff Meetings if required and participate in Fire Training Exercises.
Work flexibly to meet the changing demands of the charity
Comply with all Health and Safety legislation and where risks are identified, report them and take appropriate action.
From May 25th 2018 onwards, ensure compliance with GDPR and Data Protection Regulations
To undertake any training the Home Manager deems necessary for the performance of your duties.
