HE Lecturer in Construction (part time 18.5 hours)

Starting salary of £12,457.50 per annum for non-qualified teachers/£13,640.50 for qualified teachers, rising to £14,427.50 with experience in the role. (Pro rata of £24,915 - £28,855) plus £1,500 market allowance for holding a Level 3 Construction qualification (Pro rata of £3,000) and a golden hello payment of up to £1000. (Pro rata of £2,000)
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Construction team. If you are looking for a new challenge and would like to utilise your skills and experience whilst developing your own career, this role will be both rewarding and fulfilling. You will pass on your specialist knowledge, and will be developing skills for the future.
Within this role you will teach across a wide range of level 4 to 5 units on our BTEC HNC/D Construction and Civil Engineering Programmes.
The key duties of our Lecturers include:
- Delivering high quality teaching and learning
- Guiding and supporting learners, providing pastoral support and care
- Developing learning materials and assessment
- Monitoring the progress, retention and achievement of learners.
- Attending Exam Boards.
The working hours will be 18.5 per week working Monday to Friday, which may include evening teaching.
Essential requirements are a Level 5 or above qualification or equivalent in the relevant area, and suitable industrial experience. Experience and/or qualifications in teaching and assessing would be advantageous, but is not essential. We welcome applications from people in industry, and will provide the necessary support to obtain your professional teaching qualification and assessor/verifier awards in-house.
