School Premises Manager

Working for one of the world's leading Mechanical and Electrical / Facilities Management maintenance companies. Based in the UK they have a turnover of over £3.5 billion and employ a workforce in excess of 80,000 worldwide. They are now looking to recruit a School Premises Manager based in Halifax.

Responsibilities of School Premise Manager

Recruit, manage & train IIS staff in line with company policies and procedures.
Ensure professional quality of service delivery and compliance with legislative requirements for IIS and the schools.
Ensure all Health & Safety, quality and environmental systems are followed.
Develop direct staff reports to meet growth opportunities. Set out staff development plans for all direct reports and complete annual staff reviews.
Maintain and operate accurate and reliable management reporting information and PFI monitoring systems (audits).
Support the Account Manager in providing the school with monthly reports.
Manage sub-contractors and partners in line with company policy.
Agree all wage timesheets for directly employed staff.
To manage cleaning, caretaking, catering, M&E, grounds maintenance and other related FM works
Oversee the 3rd party use being provided by appointed service provider.
Provide accurate additional works quotations utilising the AVR procedure
Any other duties requested by the Account Manager

Hands on ability and adept at problem solving
Good organisational skills
A good knowledge of Health & Safety, Environment, Project Management, Quality, Waste Mgt, Grounds Maintenance, Cleaning, Security, Catering & Hard Services maintenance (M&E and Building fabric)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
IOSH Managing Safely

Desirable skills of School Premises Manager

Experience of Total FM operations
Previous Education Sector Experience
Experience in dealing with PFI contracts
Technical qualification or background
