Manager - Accident Claims

South Manchester (Stockport)

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Hours: 9am - 5.30pm

Our Insurance specialist client are currently seeking an experienced Manager within Accident Claims for their South Manchester premises. We're seeking candidates with proven management experience and ability within the Insurance industry to manage a friendly, highly experienced, professional team of handlers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Operations Director you will be responsible for the day to day management of the team (currently 12 staff)
You will take responsibility for the leadership and management of the Claims
Developing and coaching staff
Conducting meaningful regular performance development review discussions,
Taking responsibility for the proactive management of all employee life-cycle issues; including, probationary period management, poor performance, capability issues, sickness absence
Taking responsibility for the induction and on the job training for all new management hires into the team.
Ensuring that aged debt is always controlled and the timely processing of supplier and customer invoices.
Producing MI reports on a variety of data

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Extensive management experience within an accident claims environment
Strong leadership experience within a high-performance working environment
Evidence of leading organisational change.
Experience manipulating Excel and other system-based Management Information.
Evidence of working successfully in a fast paced and changing environment where flexibility is required to accommodate peaks and troughs in workload.
Confident with technology, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Effective and confident presentation skills and ability to influence.
Self-motivated and able to motivate others.
Excellent time management to be able to work to short/changing deadlines.
Strong numerical and verbal reasoning skills.
Willingness and ability to learn new applications and IT systems.
