Our client is looking for an experienced Transformation Manager.
The operate as part of the in-house Facilities Management (FM) team in the development and establishment of a new operating model and management of legacy FM contracts including the provision of maintenance and all facility management operations incorporating:
To manage FM operations at the designated Council properties.
To ensure compliance in respect of Health and Safety and Statutory Legislation.
To identify opportunities for service improvement.
To participate in all relevant operational initiatives.
To develop and operate a customer centric operational team
Provide the conduit between FM and key stakeholders and building users
Undertake asset and service verification exercises
Gather and collate all necessary date and information to inform Log book preparation in a customer orientated manner
Develop and deliver building specific induction packs
Assist the mobilisation team members as and when required
To provide an interim management function for those services taken back in-house
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Role Specific Responsibilities
Act as a conduit for FM in order to promote the service to key stakeholders and building users
Engage with key stakeholders and senior building users to ascertain building and service requirements, matching these requirements with service proposition, identifying gaps in service proposition and recommending solutions.
Promote good relationships with client contacts and site personnel and to project a professional image of the FM team.
Assist in the refinement of the target operating model for the FM service
Identify and recommend any improved methods of working practices, which may enhance quality and reduce costs.
Assist in the development of maintenance strategy and best practice initiatives
Undertaking Health and Safety compliance inspections and to promote a safe and healthy working environment, ensuring that contractors provide the relevant information and operate the relevant safe systems of work.
Undertake asset and service verification exercises such that data can be logged on Track Record and also to inform Log Book preparation and customer centric service packs.
Undertake regular and detailed asset data verification exercises to designated buildings as required including site inspections daily/monthly of common parts producing, amending and updating site Log Books and proving the information for the update of the Track Record system.
Provide an on-site contact for contractors and suppliers as required.
Liaise with the Helpdesk and other relevant parties in the management and execution of daily tasks associated with fault reporting, job progress updates, job completion etc.
To write or contribute to reports, briefing notes, external enquiries, committee reports, as required.
Attend and actively contribute at meetings within the remit of the role.
Ensure compliance with the Council's financial controls at all times, adhering to relevant expenditure authorisation levels.
Operate in a matrix management model with other FMs they will support and provide advice to their colleagues where required in relation to the given area of specialist knowledge.
To support the Senior Management Team in the development, implementation and review of the Commercial, Resources and Workforce Strategies

Work with the mobilisation team and undertake all reasonable duties as may be required to undertake the role.
Assist the Mobilisation team in bringing back in-house various FM services whilst providing a 'bridging' role until permanent positions are filled. Assisting in the recruitment process, training and handing over to the permanent staff once selected ensuring no loss to service delivery.
