Support Worker - Bridge Street

£16,543 - £18,806 per annum
37 hours per week
Our client is looking to recruit a proactive, positive thinking Support Worker who is passionate about making a difference in people's lives. Bridge St is a supported housing service, for single people living with a mental health illness needing to rebuild their confidence and skills for living independently. They promote social inclusion and re-enablement to increase their social and daily living before independent living.
You will be expected to have experience of working with vulnerable people, a practical understanding of housing related support, a resilient approach and able to work positively in a team. They will need you to be able to work flexibly and possess good IT skills. An excellent training program is available and a mentor buddy will guide you through your induction period.
All successful candidates will be required to work on a shift basis over a 24 hour period including weekends, bank holidays and sleep- ins; a 33% bonus is paid for waking nights and double time paid for Christmas and New Year shifts. In addition, an allowance of £36.24 is also paid for sleep-ins.
