Leading Malaria Charity is looking for a an exceptional leader to further build and drive their work influencing Westminster, Whitehall and the international stage. The UK Advocacy Manager will cultivate a critical mass of support across the political spectrum to accelerate global progress on malaria. You will be at the heart of the organisation's mission.

In a period of significant political uncertainty this is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to ensure that the UK remains at the forefront of the fight to end malaria using its convening power, financial muscle and political voice in both domestic and international arenas.

The ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker and doer with proven capacity for self-direction and be able to prioritise and manage a portfolio of diverse projects. You will be an articulate and confident influencer , demonstrating political awareness and sensitivity. You will create sustainable relationships and will represent the charity both internally and externally.

You will have experience of designing and delivering innovative high impact advocacy and / or campaigns which have influenced governments, parliamentarians and the media to bring about change in policy, practice or funding. You must have superb communication skills and demonstrable experience of effective oral and written communications with a range of diverse audiences. Strong research and analytical skills are key as is experience working in or around Parliament and Whitehall and an excellent understanding of UK political parties. Experience of managing mulitple projects including events organisation and budget management is important as is a proven track record of establishing and cultivating strong internal and external networks and relationships at different levels. You must have excellent computer literacy and be educated to degree level.

You will be self motivated and have enthusiasm and a passionate commitment to working towards the charity's goal. You must also be excited about working for a small but ambitious organisation. Experience of working in international development and on global health issues is a bonus.
