The Marine Society and Sea Cadets (MSSC) is the nation's largest maritime charity. As well as acting as the governing charity of the Sea Cadet Corps (SCC), we offer educational opportunities and financial support for professional seafarers, helping to overcome the challenges faced by seafarers on account of their lifestyle.
We are currently seeking to appoint a full time Seafarer Education, Data and Exams Officer working exclusively as part of the Marine Society College team, to assist with the effective delivery of our learning provision for seafarers.
The role demands a proactive and effective professional with knowledge and experience of learner support, exams facilitation, data co-ordination and systems and database management. successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate easily and effectively with a wide range of people and will be self-motivated and prepared to have a hands-on flexible approach.
Experience and sound knowledge in education, exams facilitation, data co-ordination and administration is essential. A sound understanding of associated regulatory and clerical procedures are essential as is a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and contact data bases. Strong attention to detail is expected with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines. Experience of using survey software would be useful but not essential.
