Your new company
Hays Social care work with some of the best care providers in Cheltenham and the surrounding areas. We are looking for support workers, with a firm belief in educating children and developing key skills to allow them to lead a successful life. You should also have some previous experience supporting children with learning disabilities and other complex needs.
Your new role
The job is to work with various clients within Cheltenham and the surrounding areas, supporting residents throughout the day, through their activities and lessons, as well as then supporting them within the residential settings. As a support worker your job is to make an unimaginable difference to their lives, you play a pivotal role in developing their key skills and helping with their emotional well-being. This is a position which will allow you to pick up part time or full time hours both on days or waking nights, we work on a flexible working basis, allowing you to tailor your working pattern to suit your own needs.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally hold an NVQ level three or equivalent (although this is not essential) and hold a full driving licence. You will also need to have a passion to make a difference in young people's lives, have a calm and patient manner.
