Based to the north of Newcastle, they are ideal if you want to get away from the town centre, park your car or bike (they have a rack) outside the office and get cracking with a friendly team.
Project wise they carry out all aspects of MoD schemes (so you will need to be able to pass a security check), care homes and car showrooms. Being well known within these sectors they are often commissioned for refurbishment and extensions to existing buildings as well as new builds.
As a practice 70% of what they do is detail design with the rest being performance spec work and they will take a scheme from initial site survey through to post occupancy evaluation.
As a mechanical services design engineer you will ideally be degree qualified in a related subject and be working at engineer level being comfortable site surveying and preparing reports.
You will need to be happy carrying out design for new built and refurbishment schemes and able to carry out meetings and site supervision without issue.
IT wise, it is crucial that you are proficient in Hevacomp and AutoCAD while knowledge of Revit and BIM working would be useful.
The salary range on offer is between £35000 to £40000 and a car allowance is also available depending upon your level. They also offer 25 days holidays plus statutory holidays, pension and a range of other benefits available including support for further study and getting Chartered.
