Job Role and Responsibility: We are looking for a strong leader with deep experience in leading multiple global Data Center Operations and IT activities. Responsibilities of this position will involve leading overall activities of Data Center Operations support and maintenance of global MDF/IDF rooms. In addition, this individual will coordinate activities which span across Data Center, IT focused projects and real-estate related projects. We are seeking a standout colleague that has superb communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent follow through. Your role is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of services to our VMware colleagues as well as working with IT and real-estate teams to review and manage MDF/IDF standards and capacity for REW projects. Your organization acts as an interface between REW, Networking, Audio Visual, IT Operation and Monitoring Teams to standardize processes and procedures and maintain an adequate operating environment for services. Management Effectiveness Required Skills: * You will have an outgoing personality while making meaningful relationships between business partners. * Ask questions that bring out ideas and stimulate discussion. * Identifies and resolves conflicts with and between partners. * Identifies potential risks and develops effective response and remediation plans. * Translates terminology between technical and non-technical staffs. Delivery * Delivers complex cross functional projects on time and within budget. * Collaborate with key partners to review project objectives and scope required to support shared business goals * Delivers on requirements by understanding and balancing the contending demands for scope, time, cost, risk, and quality. * Develops full-scale plans and associated documentation. * Monitors effectiveness of processes, procedures and makes recommendations for improvement. * Fosters an environment conducive to delivery of high-quality products and problem-free implementations using documented, repeatable standard methodologies. Communication and Organization * Consistent track record aligning and influencing partners across the organization. * Ability to maneuver between high-level critical thinking and detailed work. * Coordinates matrixed team efforts to improve performance, productivity and uptime. * Ability to reset, pivot and plan when requirements change while keeping partners informed and in agreement. * Ensures that a deep understanding of partner communication needs is integrated into the maintenance process. * Effectively interacts with all levels of management. Desired Skills: * 2+ years of experience delivering complex Data Center and IT projects or equivalent. * 5+ years of Data Center Operations experience or equivalent. * 2+ years jointly delivering projects with Facilities. * Domestic and International travel and overnight stays are likely. * Attendance: This full-time position is exempt and requires the ability to be present and available during business hours to meet company and department needs. Additional hours or flexible schedule may be required. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT related area.
