IT Service Desk Analyst

eSift are currently on the lookout for a people oriented, Service Desk Analyst, to join our client, the leading global integrated security company, specialising in the provision of security products, services and solutions.

This role would suit someone who is looking for the chance to develop a career within IT.

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne (NE27)

Salary: £16,500 per annum plus company benefits

Hours: Monday - Friday, shifts ranging from 7.30am - 6pm

An opportunity has arisen within our client's IT Technical Support Team for an Analyst. The role is focused on the provision of support services to the business and its customers, specifically in the areas of IT support and incident management. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with Technical and/or Technical Service Desk experience.

You will be responsible for supporting and actioning service requests and incident management of IT System dependencies, logging details over the phone, email and from direct customer interaction and supporting a number of business units across the UK.

You will support everything from handheld mobile devices, remote access and head office desktop/laptop users, undertaking daily workflow activities and assisting with ad hoc project work and duties where required.

To be successful in this position you will have/be;

Basic IT Support experience, including exposure to AD, troubleshooting Microsoft products use of a ticketing basic knowledge of ITIL and exposure to Office 365/Google / cloud-based software.
Strong Customer Service skills, effective in working with customers at all levels.
Some knowledge of the latest and emerging technologies (Windows 7, Cloud, Linux, Android etc.).
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to work independently across multiple groups in a rapidly changing environment.
Ability to work under tight time constraints.
Self-motivated, independent and resourceful.
