I am representing a large design, engineering/manufacturing organisation based on the outskirts of Southend and due to expansion, I have an opportunity for an experienced IT Network Administrator based at my client head office in Southend.
For this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our clients IT Network, whilst ensuring the client maintains a high level of security and compliance with various IT standards.
Duties for this IT Network Administrator position will include:
-An active member of the IT Team and assist in the continual improvement of the IT Department
-Assist with the support and maintenance of the physical network and communications infrastructure
-Out of Hours support will be required
-Propose and implement ways of making better use of existing technologies
-Implement processes and technologies to improve efficiency
-Research new technologies and/or products and investigate the suitability for use within the business
-Assist in the maintenance of the security of the network and dealing with any security issues that arise
-Adhere to the backup procedure and ensure that any backup issues are reported
Essential experience required for the IT Network Administrator position will include:
-Networking, Switches, VLANS
-Access points and Wireless Technologies
The hours are 42 per week, Monday to Thursday 8am to 5.30pm (30 minute lunch break) and Friday 8am to 2pm, and due to the location you will need to have your own transport.
