I am representing a large design, engineering/manufacturing organisation based on the outskirts of Southend and due to expansion, I have an opportunity for a Business Systems Developer/Technician based at my client head office in Southend.
Reporting to the Business Systems Manager, you will provide support, development and maintenance for all critical Business Systems including SAP, Internet, HCM and support the users of these systems with application issues. You will also provide assistance in the implementation of new modules or functions of these systems and assist in identifying areas where improvements can be made.
Duties for the Business Systems Developer/Technician position will include:
-You will be an active member of the Business Systems Team and assist in the continual improvement of the department
-Assist with the installation, maintenance and upgrade of Business Systems including the implementation of additional modules/functions
-Perform any necessary development, configuration and monitoring of Business Systems along with the maintenance of user records/permissions and management of the output requirements of these systems
-Assist with providing suitable reporting tools to enable the business to analyse the information contained within Business Systems
-Identify improvements to business processes and implementing changes to Business systems to reflect these
-Provide training and support to users of the Business System
-Assist IT with the maintenance, administration and monitoring of the servers associated with Business Systems
-Assist in the record keeping and management of license agreements
-Offer advice on technical specifications for new equipment to meet business requirements
Experience required for the Business Systems Developer/Technician will include:
-Computer Science Degree or Similar
-Experience of a project lifecycle from development through testing to integration.
The hours are 42 per week, Monday to Thursday 8am to 5.30pm (30 minute lunch break) and Friday 8am to 2pm, and due to the location you will need to have your own transport.
