The Vice President Slot Strategy Operations will foster partnerships across the enterprise to align properties around a central company-wide vision and strategy for quality and performance. This role will support the Senior Vice President of Slot Strategy in developing and executing the long-term strategic priorities for the slot division. This role is also responsible for partnering with property slot leadership as well as senior executives throughout the organization to identify current and future operational needs and to provide recommendations to improve efficiency, profitability, guest experience, and employee development. This position collaborates with Enterprise Analytics, to ensure full alignment to the Slot Strategy operating model to identify new opportunities to enhance enterprise value. Finally, this position will oversee the execution of initiatives and is responsible for developing the progress reporting. All duties are to be performed in accordance with company policies, practices, and procedures. - Partner with property Slot Leadership to optimize profitability across the company through delivery of guest service standards, labor efficiencies, operational best practices, and employee development. - Develop strategies to align property Vice Presidents Slot Operations to MGM Resorts vision for quality, fiscal performance, and superior guest service delivery by establishing protocols for concept selection, processes for partner RFP submissions and design development. - Lead the creation of a company-wide development strategy in partnership with property Vice Presidents, Property Presidents/General Managers and senior executives. - Develop and maintain a strong relationship with property Vice Presidents, Presidents and General Managers in order to create the necessary commitment for implementation of the Companys brand standards and standardized slot practices and procedures. - Implement measurements for guest experience, service, quality and profitability to identify gaps and develop appropriate solutions. - Chair and facilitate the Vice President of Slot Operations bi-weekly meeting. - Create recommendations to senior executives for evaluation, development and implementation of new products, services, technology and processes to ensure the Companys competitive advantage. - Provide strategic input and leadership on operational issues that affect the organization as a whole. i.e., labor organizing/contracts, guest service issues, strategic continuous improvement opportunities, evaluation of potential alliances or partnerships, enterprise wide purchasing opportunities, etc. - Provide strategic insight and recommendations on industry trends, product categories, competitive landscape, and consumer insights. - Leverage company subject matter experts and team resources in developing brand standards and new resort opening operations tools and templates i.e. critical paths, labor compendiums, OS & E template, training programs and schedules, etc. - Partner with Enterprise Analytics on research of industry trend data, benchmarks of performance, and consumer trends that will support development and operations strategic planning. - Partner with IT to develop and maintain slot division technology roadmap. - Partner with each of the property operations teams to ensure achievement of strategic goals, guest satisfaction improvements, employee engagement practices, succession planning, service standards achievement and procurement of products. - Facilitate and drive enterprise talent development and talent management initiatives to maximize bench strength, improve retention, and enhance career development for high performers. - Oversees Human Resources responsibilities for the specifically assigned areas; creates and maintain a work environment that promotes client service, teamwork, performance feedback, individual recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction ensuring quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes that encompass the companys diversity commitment. - Perform other job related duties as requested Required: - Bachelors degree in business or a related field; or equivalent education and experience - Minimum of ten (10) years leadership experience Preferred: - Experience developing and implementing large organization transformations or company-wide initiatives
