The ideal candidate will collaborate with other HR leadership team members, the rest of the HR organization and key decision-makers within USA Leadership Teams. It will be your role to be a creative solution provider, providing effective solutions and managing risk and opportunity in the employment space. Put another way, you will be acting as the "COO" of the USA HR Organization. This will require you to think big, use strategy to guide your work, think creatively and regularly review and reinvent how work is done. As a core part of this work, you will be overseeing one of Skanska's strongest offerings (Benefits platform) and the infrastructure of the USA HR organization. This role reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). What You'll Do: * Builds plans, solutions and platforms that cross a multitude of audiences, geographies and organizational units. + Inspires and co-creates solutions that directly impacts the lives of an entire workforce (and its families) + Drives a greater level of attractiveness, and competitiveness, through benefit and compensation platforms. + Finds efficiencies and solutions through accuracies and optimal performance within the HR organization. + Oversees a variety of areas that require extreme accuracy, amidst complexity, and a multitude of varying demands and pressures. + potential risks and liabilities that face the organization in the employment space and develops appropriate strategies/plans to confront, and/or mitigate. + Understands the complexities of employment legislation, compliance matters associated with federal/state/county/municipal matters in the employment/workplace arena. + Able to convert risk and hurdles into opportunities * Drives solutions-focused change within and with the HR organization. + Establishes structure and drives change management process for HR related platforms, programs and tools + Drives alignment within and across organizational boundaries (including IT, communications, payroll, etc.) for successful change adoption + Demonstrates systemic thinking and the ability to think holistically ahead and anticipate potential implications of what is going on in the business, understanding impacts of one change in the organization on other parts of the organization + Gets to the root cause of any issue, no matter how complex, and designs and implements solutions that cut across multiple disciplines and stakeholders, even those beyond people and organizational boundaries * Collaborative leader focused on improving how we do our work. + Partner with USA HR leadership team and global HR leaders to identify, develop and implement global strategies that support goals around compensation, rewards, implements proactive and scalable solutions that directly address HR and enterprise needs * Thought leader who effectively communicates with all levels of the organization. + Communicates vision
