The Regional Vice President of Sales Medical Products and Services will lead a team of 50+ direct and indirect employees, including 8 directors, IDN Managers and Territory Sales Consultants. - Responsible for driving new sales of medical products and services into acute care and distribution in the western region, as well as increasing business within existing accounts. Works collaboratively with marketing and enterprise contracting on national and regional GPO opportunities. - Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of Cardinal Health and customer industry, including: key competitors, terminology, technology, trends, challenges, reimbursement and government regulation; demonstrates advanced knowledge of how Cardinal Health offerings impact customers - Strong focus on sales discipline and process, continuous improvement and strategic development of business model. - Fosters and supports an culture of effective teamwork, accountability and development. - Builds and expands profitable business partnerships with C Suite relationships (CEO, CFO) by actively participating in executive industry groups and remaining abreast of industry trends - Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of customer's successes, challenges, and strategic objectives; draws from experience and significant financial acumen to recognize and provide advice regarding potential opportunities and risks - Proactively seeks out and fosters strategic partnerships with key influencers at multiple levels in the client organization and within Cardinal Health; takes swift and decisive action to address any concerns or obstacles - Works collaboratively to leverage capabilities of cross functional business partners including marketing, manufacturing, quality, and legal - Leverages expertise and broad knowledge of multiple business units/partners to execute the Solutions Sales Process; guides efforts and coordinates Cardinal Health resources to creatively integrate and position collaborative solutions cross-system and cross-functionally to provide maximum value to customers and Cardinal Health; shares value message with executive sponsor(s) to attain agreement - Draws on knowledge of executive sponsors' strategic business priorities to communicate a broad vision for partnering with Cardinal Health; obtains support and executes on solutions by leveraging direct and indirect relationships and demonstrating the value of integrated, multi-faceted solutions; influences executive sponsors around the staging of solutions and costs of delay Qualifications - Bachelors degree required; preferably in business or healthcare; MBA degree preferred - 10+ years healthcare sales experience preferably in Medical products and devices - Proven leadership capabilities, including ability to manage diverse personalities/skill sets in a changing environment - Excellent planning, forecasting, negotiation and presentation skills required - Ability to travel 50% of time What is expected of you and others at this level - Provides leadership and direction for multiple operational units or disciplines through Directors may manage managers - Manages an organizational budget - Approves significant policies and procedures that will result in the achievement of organizational goals - Develops and implements functional and/or operational strategy - Decisions have a serious impact on overall success or failure on area of accountability and external stakeholders - Interacts with all levels of internal and/or external leaders - Influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance Cardinal Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
